There are many important skills that we work on in kindergarten. It really takes a village to raise children and we are all in this together. Some important skills that we are learning in kindergarten are:

- letters and letter sounds (Wilson Phonics)
- counting to 100 by ones and tens without skipping a number
- recognizing numbers
- writing numbers to 30
- blending and segmenting words
- SIGHT WORDS- these are words that your child must memorize in order to become proficient readers. They do not follow the typical phonics rules of our crazy language.
